The leading boys’ and mens’ hair care provider in the United States, Sport Clips Haircuts, just moved 20 spots up in the annual Entrepreneur "Franchise 500" list. Landing in the 16th spot overall for 2015 after being 36th last year, this is the largest jump ever for any hair care concept in the annual ranking. The publication bases rankings on the franchise business’ system size, rate of growth, and financial stability and strength.

Sport Clips CEO and Founder Gordon Logan spoke a little about the franchise brand, saying the top franchise opportunity is continuing its strong growth while adhering to a proven franchise system. Logan is gratified by seeing the brand, which he started with his wife Bettye, becoming a business of choice for clients, team members and franchisees. According to Logan, the respectable ranking helps affirm the leading position Sport Clips has in the hair care segment.

Sport Clips’ Vice President of Franchising, Pete Lindsey, also commented on the honor, saying that the credit belongs to the brand’s support team members, who work with franchisees to drive the business.

In 2016, Sport Clips is opening its 1,500th location and is on track to hit 3 billion in sales. The franchise business is the sole haircut concept that has a presence in every state in the U.S. and in Canada. The brand is also known for its military support through a BFW partnership and its participation in the International Franchise Association's VetFran program. Sport Clips also funds “Help a Hero” grants, which are given to veterans and active-duty service members.
