Franchise Business Express Employment Eyes Expansion

Date

Aug 04, 2016

Guided by its commitment to putting at least one million people to work each year, Express Employment Professionals has been aggressively expanding to hit 800 franchises in 2016, including new franchise business locations in Boston.

Express Board Chairman and CEO Bob Funk said that since more job seekers and companies are relying on staffing services, the brand is naturally looking to expand into the Boston area. On a national level, the American Staffing Association reports that more than 3 million people work for a staffing firm over the average week, and these firms hire more than 14 million contract and temporary employees annually.

Express Employment is currently a leader in what is a booming and vibrant industry. The brand ranked fifth on the positive side of the best and worst franchises list from Forbes in the under $150,000 investment-level category, and it also earned the top spot in its category on the 2016 Entrepreneur 500 list. This is the fifth year in a row the staffing franchiser was number one in its category on the Entrepreneur 500 ranking.

An Express franchise location that is open for more than two years has an average annual sales tally of $5.6 million, and first-year sales figures average over $1 million.

Vice President of Franchising David Lewis noted that the company has a great purpose, and that helps drive its success. When a new location opens, Lewis said that around 600 more people find a job on a yearly basis.

A Top Franchise Opportunity:

In 2015, Express Employment Professionals generated just over $3 billion, and sales and hit an employment record of just over 500,000 people. With the current goal being employment of at least 1 million people annually, the brand is seeking new franchisees in several markets.

Applicants for this top franchise opportunity can choose from two different models: the Core and the Expanded. Core comes with three employees, with the franchisee on the front line, and has an average investment of $120,000 to $140,000. The Expanded Model comes with a staff of five and an investment range of $170,000 to $195,000.
