Tell us about the Amada Senior Care concept.

How and when did you become involved with Amada Senior Care? 2007

What are some of the advantages in being a Amada Senior Care franchisee?

The founders still run a very successful home care operation in Orange County, CA.  We have national relationships with key referral sources.

Who is your ideal franchisee?

Big heart, able to run a fast pace business, and able to connect with families and referral sources.

Tell us a little about the Senior Care Market? More than 10,000 people turn 65 every day and by the end of 2014, the senior population in America will reach nearly 50 million. By 2025, it will grow to a staggering 72 million. (Source: The Department of Health and Human Services and the State Department)

What are some of the greatest lessons you’ve learned in growing this franchise?

Going from a successful business owner to coaching others to obtain success is not easy.  It takes just as much work as building my business over the last 7 years.

Do you have a mentor and is there someone you use for inspiration?

My business partner Tafa Jefferson is a true entrepreneur.  I spent 10 years at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and got used to a paycheck every two weeks.  I needed Tafa there to push me through the hard times.

What advice do you have for someone looking to acquire a Franchise?

Your caliber, who you are, is most important factor.  There are many great opportunities out there in several different industries.  In the end YOU will be the deciding factor.

In your opinion, why do you think that Amada Senior Care would be a great opportunity for someone?

There’s no question that the senior care market will continue to explode for the next 20 years.  Amada offers a great platform for the entrepreneur who’s aggressive but loves helping others.
