Rapidly-growing Midwest-based brand Scooter's Coffee has been be named a top franchise opportunity in the 2018 edition of Franchise Business Review's (FBR) "Top Franchises for Women" report.

Started back in 1998 by Linda and Don Eckles in Nebraska, this coffee franchise business roasts its beans right at its Omaha headquarters. During its two decades in business, Scooter's has followed its original recipe for success: dedication to the company's core values and original principles. Its brand promise, which is often repeated to employees, franchisees and customers, is rooted in the celebration of everyone who interacts with the company, its production and its customer service speed.

FBR is a market research firm that conducts independent surveys to gauge franchisee satisfaction and is the only provider of franchise rankings based on actual franchisee performance and satisfaction levels. Its top rankings are published in an annual "Guide to Today's Top Franchises," and quarterly reports are released throughout the year to rank leading franchises in their respective sectors.

Scooter's was part of a group of 240 franchises, which represented close to 6,000 female franchisees, who took part in FBR's "Top Franchises for Women" research. The coffee brand's franchisees were asked 33 questions about their satisfaction and experience within the system, including queries on training and support, financial opportunity, leadership and work-home life balance.

Brand COO Mike Rogers said the coffee franchiser is committed to treating everyone with dignity and respect. The COO added that the brand is proud of its work aimed at providing women with franchise opportunities that allow them to reach for success. FBR President Michelle Rowan noted that the franchise sector offers many options to women who want to own a business on a part-time or full-time basis. Rowan said that because the number of franchise opportunities can be overwhelming, the examination of feedback from other female franchisees is invaluable to those seeking to join a new franchise.

Specializing in baked-from-scratch pastries, fruit smoothies, innovative coffee and hand-tamped espresso drinks, Scooter's Coffee is currently experiencing a growth phase nationwide, with a set goal of becoming the top drive-through coffee franchise brand in the US. Both the drive-through coffeehouse and kiosk models have a franchise fee of $40,000. The total initial investment for the kiosk format ranges from $366,500 to $597,000, while the coffeehouse style runs from $351,000 to $559,000.
