Fro.Zen.Yo Is Heating Up

April marks the one year anniversary of the first franchise deal sold for Fro.Zen.Yo, delicious self-serve frozen yogurt. The first franchisee was restaurateur and former NBA champion Kevin Grevey. This month also includes the addition of ZOMBIE COFFEE, a value added self serve coffee co-brand which promises your coffee in two minutes or less.

The latest franchise deal brings Gary Bobcek and Aviel Halioua to the team. Their location will be in Rosslyn at the location of the previous News and Necessities site on 1736 Lynn Street. They are projected to open by the beginning of the summer.

A manager of a Starbucks for nine years, Gary Bobcek loved the busy nature of the coffee shop, but knew that he wanted something of his own. “I love that I have discovered this concept at the beginning, Bobcek said. “I’m so impressed with the leaders of this organization and love that this product is something that everyone can enjoy, and it is healthy!”

His partner Aviel Halioua is also excited about the product, and feels that the self-serve model is perfect for this busy location.

The Fro.Zen.Yo concept was created by a management team that brings considerable restaurant and retail experience to the table and is based on a self-serve a la carte format. Recently recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as the Best Frozen Yogurt/Ice Cream, the first Fro.Zen.Yo opened in Friendship Heights in DC to positive reviews and long lines of frozen yogurt cravers. Currently, Fro.Zen.Yo has 8 locations open in the DC metro area, with 15 additional franchises on the way and is in advanced conversations with prospective franchisees to bring the Fro.Zen.Yo brand to many other cities in the US and overseas.

Fro.Zen.Yo’s frozen yogurt is low fat and low calorie. The Fro.Zen.Yo menu features 16 flavors of frozen yogurt and a variety of fresh fruit and candy toppings. Customers get to choose any combination of flavors and toppings. Fro.Zen.Yo offers free hot fudge and also offers Deer Park bottled water for $.29.
