UFC Gym Opens Its First Franchise Business in India

UFC Gym, the first large brand extension of global sports powerhouse UFC, recently announced the opening of its first franchise business in India. Located in West Punjabi Bagh, New Delhi, the 10,000+-square-foot center is operated jointly with Artaxerxes Fitness & Lifestyle Pvt. Ltd.

Franchisees Istayak Ansari, with over 16 years of experience leading startups, and Farzad Palia, a second-generation entrepreneur with a passion for fitness and health, said they are thrilled to bring the globally-recognized brand to India, where they believe both the company and its unique approach to training will be embraced. According to the franchisees, the West Punjabi Bagh location is the first of five centers that will open its doors this year, including a CLASS-style format gym, which is the newest boutique fitness concept.

Tamer El-Guindy, the brand's Senior Vice President of Global Franchising, said there are more franchise opportunities available worldwide as the brand continues its expansion. More franchises will be announced for the metro regions of Delhi, Mumbai and elsewhere soon.

Offering a range of functional fitness classes, group performance-based training, MMA youth programs and private and group MMA training, UFC Gym has training programs available for all fitness levels and ages. Its programming was developed via its exclusive access to the training programs of acclaimed UFC athletes, providing its members with all they need for their entire families to get fit, move and live a healthier life. Membership at this newest location includes signature classes such as TRX and Daily Ultimate Training, unlimited access to the brand's famous Octagon, and MMA conditioning, boxing, kickboxing and women's defense classes.

Since its debut in 2009, this gym brand has opened more than 150 centers in 28 countries. UFC Gym in the middle of a strong expansion and is offering franchise opportunities in many markets. The total initial investment ranges from $295,057 to $4,912,007, depending on the gym format and market.
