As part of The Melting Pot’s partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, the company recently announced it raised nearly $600,000 during the 12th annual St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. This brings the brand’s overall donation to almost $10 million since their launching their partnership in 2003.
Every fall from Oct. 11 – Dec. 11, The Melting Pot allows their guests the chance to donate $10 or more to St. Jude and they will receive $20 off a future purchase of $50 or more. To help spread awareness of the offer, internal team competitions were put in place to encourage guest donations, and franchise owners often sweeten the pot with their own personal rewards during the campaign. 100 percent of donations made to The Melting Pot during the campaign go to directly to St. Jude to help save children’s lives. This year, The Melting Pot of Fort Collins was named the top fundraiser, for the second year in a row, breaking their own personal record and netting more than $51,000 to help fight childhood cancer.
In September 2015, The Melting Pot was honored with a Silver Award in the Enduring Impact Category of the inaugural Franchising Gives Back Awards program due to the success of their partnership. The International Franchise Association (IFA) award acknowledged The Melting Pot for its longstanding commitment to their community members through its ongoing program with St. Jude and the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign.
