Minuteman Press International Vet Franchise Business

Date

Nov 23, 2018

Leading printing, marketing and design franchise Minuteman Press International has been included in Franchise Business Review's "2018 Top Franchises for Veterans" list. The independent franchisee satisfaction firm has recognized this print brand for its commitment to veteran franchisees for the second year in a row.

Brand CEO and President Bob Titus said the company is proud of the veterans who have jointed its system. According to Titus, the brand being named a top franchise opportunity for veterans for the second year in a row as a result of those franchisees' input says all you need to know about the franchisees' belief in the brand and the company's efforts to support all its owners.

Three veteran franchisees with the brand spoke about their experiences and what led them to join the company. David Farmer, a franchisee in Chester, Virginia, is a retired first responder with more than three decades of public service under his belt. He also served in the US Marine Corps Reserves for 11 years. Farmer chose Minuteman because of the positive experiences he had enjoyed in their Chester store; he was impressed with the team there and the level of service he received.

James Lawrence, who owns a location in Minnesota with his wife Katie, served with the Wisconsin National Guard and is an Army Airborne Veteran. Katie has a fine arts degree and was actively looking for print shop work and James has a business degree, so when the franchise opportunity with Minuteman presented itself, the couple decided to take the leap.

Finally, Mason Hutton of Ohio, a former paratrooper, found this leading print business through his franchise research. Hutton was impressed by the service offered by the brand and by its numbers.

To create its top franchises for veterans list, market research firm Franchise Business Review (FBR) conducts surveys of existing franchisees. For 2018's ranking, the firm reviewed 18 months of data from more than 26,000 veteran franchisees across 250 brands. The franchisees were asked 33 benchmark questions about their satisfaction and experience in critical system areas, including operations, training and support, financial opportunity and the franchiser-franchisee relationship.

According to Eric Stites, CEO and Founder of FBR, only a small percentage of the thousands of franchise opportunities out there today are highly rated by franchisees. The firm carries out this research to help franchisees discover which opportunities are the cream of the crop based on the actual experiences and performances of current franchisees.

In addition to being named a top franchise opportunity for veterans, Minuteman has received many honors since its founding in 1973, including being ranked number one in its category by Entrepreneur Magazine 15 years in a row and 26 times overall. The initial investment with this brand ranges from $108,115 to $163,865.
