FASTSIGNS Named Top Veteran Franchise Business For Fifth Year in a Row

Date

Feb 02, 2016

Graphic, sign and visual communications leader FASTSIGNS International, Inc., has earned a spot on the "Top 100 Franchises for Veterans" list by Franchise Business Review for the fifth year in a row. The FBR list is currently the only one that is based entirely on survey data from veteran franchisees.

Each year, FBR sends surveys about performance and satisfaction to current veteran franchisees, and the Top 100 list is created based on data from the responses. This latest report included around 3,047 veterans who represented 285 franchise businesses with veteran franchisees in their systems.

The surveys had 33 questions that ranked franchisers in different areas, such as training and support, financial opportunity, operations and development, leadership, general satisfaction, core values and the franchisee community. Other questions covered broader areas, including business lifestyle, demographics and market area.

FASTSIGNS CEO Catherine Monson said the brand’s veterans program is a "thank you" to the men and women who have served in the US Armed Forces. Veterans who join FASTSIGNS receive 50 percent off of the franchise fee and get peer-to-peer support via a mentorship program. Over 10 percent of FASTSIGNS franchisees in the US are veterans, according to Monson, and the brand wants to see that percentage increase.

2015 was a year of recognition of FASTSIGNS' commitment to veterans. The brand was recognized by G.I. Jobs magazine, USA Today and Military Times as a top veteran franchise because of its growth, corporate support and financial discounts.

A new and qualified veteran franchisee can receive a discounted franchise fee of $22,250 and lower royalties for the first 12 months, and FASTSIGNS is the only franchiser in its market with a stipulation-free 50 percent franchise fee discount.
