Fast-growing donut franchise business Duck Donuts recently announced its growth plan for 2019. Since this brand's franchising arm was established in 2013, its growth has been organic, with many people interested in its franchise opportunities because of their own experiences in one of its original North Carolina locations.
To keep up its rapid-growth trend, the brand is adopting a more aggressive approach to selling franchises overseas and at home, especially west of the state of Missouri and in resort and tourist areas.
According to Brand CEO and Founder Russ DiGilo, the donut brand has sold over 200 locations over 26 states organically and has a heavy presence on the East Coast. The CEO added that the company now wants to offer its unique experience of serving made-to-order donuts across the nation, which is why this franchiser is going to be more proactive in its franchisee search.
For support in this new growth initiative, the brand has partnered with customer analytics leader Buxton, which will give the company the ability to score potential location sites, run reports to support its strategies, and visualize the market data.
Currently, Duck Donuts has 78 stores in 16 states and two countries, with plans to open another 24 stores in 2019. Some of these new locations will be in entirely new markets, including in Utah, Missouri, Michigan and Arizona. The franchiser also recently celebrated the opening of its first international store in Chile.
Specializing in donuts that are made to order, customers here can make their own donuts by choosing from a myriad of drizzles, toppings and coatings. These family-friendly locations also allow children and adults to watch their donut creations being made. Breakfast sandwiches, coffee and tea are also available.
Duck Donuts is currently offering franchise opportunities in many markets. The total initial investment ranges from $348,350 to $568,000.
