Chem-Dry Earns Top Franchise Business Honor from GBM

Chem-Dry Carpet and Floor Cleaning has won the "Best House & Office Franchise" category in the Global Franchise Award Competition for 2018. This year's competition will be highlighted in a later issue of the Global Franchise magazine (GBM), and the winners were announced at the International Franchise Association's 2018 conference, which was held in Phoenix.

This recognition follows a strong year in international growth for the world's biggest floor-cleaning and carpet franchise business. The brand's three decades of worldwide expansion include master franchise agreements in the Caribbean, Europe and Southeast Asia and also in Africa, where Morocco just joined Botswana, South Africa and other regions. On top of its revolutionary and environmentally-friendly Hot Carbonating Extraction process for carpet cleaning, this company also provides leather and upholstery cleaning services, stone and tile cleaning, and granite countertop refreshing.

Vice President of International Development Joseph Manuszak says the brand has continued to capture market share globally and that this latest honor shows the industry's recognition of the success of its business mode, which has worked in more than 50 countries and has created opportunities for entrepreneurs in growing middle-class communities everywhere. Manuszak added that the brand's strong growth in Africa alone is a testament to the company's ability to successfully operate in varying cultures and economies.

The entries for the Global Franchise Award Competition were judged according to world intentions, franchiser-franchisee relationships, brand marketing and how much the brand works to advance international franchise opportunities. A scoring system was applied to produce a short list, which was reviewed by a global franchise expert panel to name the winners.

Global Franchise Editor Ross Gilfillan said the awards are meant to recognize those companies that have exceeded expectations in the more difficult field of international franchising and that the competition attracted strong entries from nearly every franchising sector.

Started in 1977, Chem-Dry is a global leader in the carpet and upholstery cleaning space and is currently offering franchise opportunities in many markets. The initial investment ranges from $56,495 to $161,957, and the brand is also seeking master franchises for Eastern Europe, South America and the central part of Africa.
