Cartridge World has been put on the Green Awards short list in the ‘Best PR Campaign’ category. Cartridge World is receiving kudos for its ‘Plant a Tree Not a Cartridge’ (PATNAC) environmental campaign, which sponsored the planting of nearly 6,000 trees at 28 sites throughout the UK last year.
The Green Awards ceremony is an innovative way to acknowledge ‘excellent creative work that illustrates and communicates the importance of CSR, sustainable development, and ethical best practice’. Various organisations will be on hand to receive recognition of their ongoing commitment to environmental issues in a unique, creative and effective way utilizing various media platforms and disciplines.
Cartridge World has continually proven to be the market leader in the cartridge refill sector, offering domestic businesses and consumers widespread availability to products which are of high quality, with speedy service and value. CW currently operates more than 280 stores across the UK.
Through PATNAC, Cartridge World has raised the environmental awareness of the consumer by refilling empty inkjet and toner cartridges rather than tossing them into the bin where they would eventually end up in a landfill. During its first six months of operation, PATNAC had saved over two million cartridges from landfill sites.
