There are few among us who can say they have never dreamed of being their own boss. Maybe it speaks to the individualistic nature of our society or perhaps it’s a near universal trait. Who wants to be told what to do? Hardly anybody. This makes small business ownership a very attractive goal for many Americans. Some people hope to save up enough money (and experience) to start their own business within their prefered industry. Others are happy to get involved any industry as long as they can run own their own business and have a good shot at making money with it. Regardless of their motivations, all of these entrepreneurs encounter a fork in the road early on. One direction is labelled, “start your own independent business”. The other path is labelled, “franchise businesses for sale”.

Decisions, decisions

Be the Boss connects prospective franchisees with franchise businesses, so of course we’re going to recommend going the route the labeled, “franchise businesses for sale”. And we will go over why that is later in this article. But to be fair, let’s go over the merits of starting your own, completely independent business. For one, it’s a bit more romantic, isn’t it? You get to say that you wholly own your business; that you started from scratch and did everything yourself. Second, you don’t have to pay a franchise fee. And third, you don’t owe any of your profits to anybody else. If you make a profit.

Franchise Businesses

When you cook pasta, do you make the noodles from scratch? Do you crush your own tomatoes? When you make pizza, do you make your own dough? Do you churn your own butter for your toast in the morning? Some people do actually do these things. And for them, it’s probably incredibly rewarding. But to most of us, all of that work seems, well, insane. Who really wants to start from scratch when you can bypass all that strenuous, mundane work?

Franchising fees might seem annoying at first, but consider all the fees involved in starting your own business anyway. You’d be lucky to save any money at all. Furthermore, banks are much less inclined to lend money to an unproven quantity as opposed to a prospective franchisee of a respected and successful brand. Lastly, you’re chances of making money with a franchise business are far greater than going it alone.

Franchises Businesses for Sale

There are as many franchise businesses for sale as there are businesses you can think of. Regardless of what industry you are interested in, there is almost certainly a franchise business for sale within it. Franchising allows you to get into an industry in which you’ve always wanted to be. Franchising allows you to work with experts in that field and get advice and support from them. Franchising allows you to operate under an already established and successful brand name. And franchising allows you to achieve that universal goal of being your own boss.
