Other Mothers

Melinda started opening Other Mothers' stores in 1979. Her intention when she began Other Mothers was to spend time with her children, while still earning an income. She always tried to understand what other young mothers needed in a store, just as she does her best to understand what her employees and franchisees need from their stores today.

Customer surveys over the years have indicated that "Price, Quality and Selection" are the three most important qualities they look for in a store like Other Mothers.

Our prices are the number one thing customers love more than anything else, and why we have such good customer retention.

There aren't many businesses that a family or individual can own that allows them a good income AND a flexible life style. Our systems are now so standardized, efficient and easily monitored that our larger store owners comfortly juggle their family life and other activities such as travel, hobbies and other business.

It's also a recession resistant business you can feel good about every day with the positive feedback from the shoppers, and charities, that don't know what they would do without us.
