Sirius Day Spa Opens New Arizona Franchise Business
Sirius Day Spa just opened its first franchise business location in Arizona, in Shops Gainey Village in Scottsdale. This spa, a leading model in the category, sets itself apart from the competition by offering members and non-members alike a wide array of services conveniently located under one roof. This spa brand offers waxing, eyelash extensions, massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, facials, wraps, microdermabrasion, micro-peel, teeth whitening, hair blow-outs and more. Also popular among visitors is its Serenity Lounge, which is a room exclusively for meditation, and its Mindful Meditation series with the Deepak Chopra Dreamweaver.
The aim of this spa franchiser is to change how people enjoy services while disrupting the stale membership models currently used at single-service providers. Instead of having to pay a set monthly membership fee to access all the services, this brand allows members to apply their membership fee to the services they actually want to use, and there is a family model with which members can share the fee across a household.
Currently, memberships range in price from $59 to $89 each month, and they provide a dollar-for-dollar credit on the more than 40 services available at the spa location. Customers don't need to have a membership to receive services, but members do receive a discount of at least 30 percent on the regular services rate. Members also don't have any long-term contract obligation, and monthly credits can roll over.
This newest location is owned by a group with business, day spa and franchise experience. Franchisee Stacy Iredell previously owned and operated spa stores across two states, and franchisee Rob Harris is involved in real estate development and the restaurant industry. Rounding out the group is John Fechter, who built his own private equity investment firm from the ground up.
Sirius Day Spa's franchise model comes from a formula by John Leonesio, the founder of several successful franchise concepts. The spa and wellness industry, which is worth around $17 billion annually, is ready for a high-quality but affordable option, notes Harris.
This spa and wellness brand has another 20 locations in the works over the next five years, and franchise opportunities are still available. The franchise fee is $39,000, and the initial investment for one of these franchise opportunities ranges from $477,950 to $698,750.
