Ice Cream Emergency Opens New Franchise Business
Frozen dessert bus franchise business Ice Cream Emergency has just arrived in southwest Connecticut, making it the first mobile ice cream parlor in an area known for its food trucks. This new location has a grand opening slated for early March and is owned by franchisee Shireen D'Andrea.
The newest location is not an ordinary bus. Instead, it's styled as a "rescue emergency vehicle" in line with the brand's EMS/hospital theme, complete with staff decked out in red scrubs and dubbed "scoopologists." The desserts on the menu carry this theme, such as the signature "Flatliner OMG Brownie," which has three large scoops of ice cream, caramel, hot fudge, chocolate chip cookies, brownies, cherries, sliced bananas and other toppings. There are also many other offerings, including restricted-diet ice creams, so all guests can fully enjoy the experience.
This unique brand caters events, including corporate meetings and weddings. Unlike traditional food trucks, guests are served inside the vehicle, which is decorated like a retro ice cream parlor.
During the March grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new truck in Connecticut, franchisee Shireen D'Andrea will be giving out free desserts, but she also said she wanted to use the opportunity to draw attention to a cause. The opening ice cream party will be held at Family and Children's Aid in Danbury to serve and support local social workers.
Currently, this brand operates four trucks in Connecticut and two in New Jersey, with more franchise opportunities available. As with the newest Connecticut location, the other trucks are also locally owned and operated.
The total investment range for one of this brand's franchise opportunities ranges from $129,700 to $179,650.
