Cruise Planners Franchise Business Earns Eight Awards

American Express Travel Representative Cruise Planners has continued its long-running awards streak by receiving eight Magellan Awards from respected industry news leader Travel Weekly. These awards are among the elite in the travel industry, and the cruise franchise business won accolades across several categories, including training, tech, community outreach, training and marketing.

Brand co-owner and COO Vicky Garcia said the company already knew its training, tech innovations and unique marketing set it apart in the industry, and that the brand is thrilled to add another award for its newly re-focused luxury travel program. According to the COO, giving back is a core part of the company's mission, so the Gold Magellan awarded for its nonprofit CP Cares organization was especially appreciated.

In total, Cruise Planners received four Silver and Gold Magellan awards each for various features and programs. CP Cares, which has donated more than $1 million since its creation, received community involvement honors, while CP View, a tech tool designed for those who take advantage of franchise opportunities with the brand, earned an innovation award. The virtual learning portal Cruisitude Academy was recognized in the training category, and the brand's newly designed website also received an award. The other four Magellan awards were issued in recognition of marketing campaigns, including "See the World from a Different Perspective," which inspired bigger thinking for travel, and the company's increasing portfolio of luxury offerings.

Garcia noted that brand franchisees have varying business styles and specialties, and the company is continually innovating so that the needs of their network are met and even exceeded. The COO says that the success of the brand is only possible when its franchisees succeed.

As the biggest home-based travel franchise in the industry with more than 1,800 franchisee, Cruise Planners has won many accolades over the years, including being named the top travel franchise by Entrepreneur every year for the last 14 years.
