Specialized kickbox-fitness franchise business 9Round Franchising, LLC was just ranked at 20 out of 150 brands on Entreprenuer's "Fastest-Growing Franchises" list for 2019. This is the highest ranking the fitness brand has received since it was founded in 2008.
Brand CEO and Founder Shannon Hudson, a professional kickboxer, said the ranking is evidence of the success of 9Round's aggressive expansion efforts in recent years. According to Hudson, the kickbox-fitness brand opened 202 studios around the world, passing 770 locations globally, and it plans to have more than 1,000 studios operating by the end of 2020.
Being a part of Entrepreneur's "Fasting-Growing Franchises" list depends on inclusion in the magazine's famous "Franchise 500" list. The fastest-growing list for 2019 is based on the number of new franchise units added in Canada and the US from July 2017 to July 2018, with any ties broken using percentage growth.
While the Entrepreneur list only looks at a brand's presence in Canada and the US, this fitness brand has an international footprint beyond North America, including in another 16 countries where the company currently has locations.
